Lots and lots. I will name a few projects.

1. I managed Gemsense. An IoT startup that developed tiny sensor based platforms for developers.
2. I  developed two sensor based platforms - Bluetera I/II that were posted on product hunt.
3. I managed a VR product with Intel based on Realsense and my own controller.
4. I Managed a project in Agritech with Netafim.... 

In my opinion the trends of IoT in the coming years are:

1. IoT security - how to secure the devices and related data from hacking
2. Connected medicine and AI based analytics 
3. Edge computing and distributed systems
4. Industrial IoT, better connectivity between machines and usage of data for predictions.
5. Agritech to increase the yield of crops and decrease the resource to grow it.

In the post Covid era. I believe that most work can be achieved remotely and in a hybrid manner.

From my experience both large and small clients find it very difficult to convert their needs and desires into a robust spec. Therefore the best method of engagement for both sides is an hourly bank with a set of tasks to perform. For initial startup or products in initial stages, I usually suggest a POC as a means for a "first date" between both sides.
